They form a real treasure trove for science. From the 10th of March 2022, the first state-wide Archaeology Year invites visitors to discover Iron Age Hesse with numerous events. Special exhibitions at a total of eight museum locations address modern-sounding buzzwords such as innovations, resource consumption or urbanisation as well as outstanding achievements of Celtic craftsmanship. The lively accompanying volume, penned by 39 authors from the fields of heritage conservation, museums and research, is aimed at all those interested in archaeology and offers an excellent overview of the current state of knowledge. Some find complexes are presented to the general public for the first time in words and pictures.
